Elevate slow-cooker chili with zesty chunky salsa for a burst of bold flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 2 cups thick & chunky salsa
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (4 oz) Old El Paso™ Chopped Green Chiles
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 can (15 to 16 oz) pinto beans, drained, rinsed
  • Shredded Cheddar cheese, if desired
  • Sliced green onions, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a 10-inch skillet, sauté the beef and onion over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is cooked through; then drain any excess fat.
  • Combine the beef mixture and all remaining ingredients, excluding the beans, in a 3- to 4-quart slow cooker.
  • Cover and simmer on low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
  • Gently fold in the beans and cover. Let them simmer on low heat for an additional 5 minutes or until piping hot. Sprinkle with cheese and onions before serving.
