Succulent paprika-roasted chicken with a smoky-sweet flavor from pimentón and a zesty honey-lemon glaze. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a relaxed weekend meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 Tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 Tbsp melted unsalted butter*
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 whole 4-5 pound roasting chicken
  • 4 Tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 325°F.
  • Thoroughly dry the chicken by patting it down with paper towels.
  • Combine paprika, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Spread the flavorful mixture evenly over the chicken before placing it in a baking pan.
  • In a small pot, gently warm the honey and lemon juice until the honey completely dissolves. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Bake the chicken at 350°F for 1 to 1 ¼ hours, basting with the lemon-honey mixture after 35 minutes, and every 15 minutes thereafter. Adjust cooking time as needed based on the size of the chicken. Chicken is cooked when juices run clear and internal temperature reaches 165°F. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
