Irresistibly flavorful smoky bacon chili baked beans will leave you craving more.
Ingredients:
  • 1 brown onion, finely chopped
  • 4 middle bacon rashers, trimmed, chopped
  • 18.20 gm extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 10.00 gm smoked paprika
  • 2 dried bay leaves
  • 53.60 gm golden syrup
  • 45.20 gm barbecue sauce
  • 24.40 gm Worcestershire sauce
  • 700g btl Mutti Tomato Passata
  • 400g can red kidney beans, drained, rinsed
  • 400g can cannellini beans, drained, rinsed
  • 400g can black beans, drained, rinsed
  • 2 long red chillies, sliced
  • 62.50 ml chopped fresh coriander leaves
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C (160C fan-forced).
  • In a small roasting pan, combine onion and bacon, then drizzle with oil. Roast at 400°F, stirring halfway through, until golden, about 15 minutes.
  • Enhance flavors by incorporating garlic, paprika, and bay leaves, stirring to combine. Introduce the golden syrup, sauces, passata, and beans, stirring well. Season with salt and pepper before covering the pan securely with foil. Bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until beans are warmed and sauce is thickened. Remember to discard bay leaves before adding a touch of chili and coriander. Finally, plate your delicious dish and enjoy.
