Snowman "Star" Cutouts

Get creative with snowman cookies using a star-shaped cutter for a unique twist!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • Flour, butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch for cutout cookies
  • 1 tube (4.25 oz) Betty Crocker™ black decorating icing
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • Coarse white decorating sugar
  • Assorted candies
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, flour, butter, and egg in a medium bowl until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out stars and place them 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 7 to 9 minutes until edges turn a light golden brown. Allow to cool for 1 minute before transferring from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Let them cool completely, around 15 minutes.
  • Decorate the cookies one at a time by piping black icing onto the tip of the star for the hat, then frosting the rest of the star with white frosting. Sprinkle coarse sugar over the frosting and attach candies for the buttons and face.
