Ingredients:
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 to 4 cups semisweet chocolate chips (12 to 24 oz)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and butter until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs and mix well. Then, add flour, baking soda, and salt, followed by chocolate chips.
  • Spoon the dough in rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets, keeping them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake until lightly golden for 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool for 1 minute before transferring to cooling racks.
