Indulgent lemon sour cream pie with creamy custard filling in a buttery crust.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1.5 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, mix sugar, flour, and salt. Gently pour in the milk. Cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly. Lower the heat and continue to cook and stir for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Lightly whisk the yolks. Slowly incorporate 1 cup of custard mix into the yolks. Combine the yolk mixture with the remaining custard in the saucepan and gently bring to a boil. Cook and stir for an additional 2 minutes. Take off the heat and mix in butter, lemon juice, and zest. Gently blend in sour cream.
  • Pour the delicious filling into the golden baked pie shell and let it chill until perfectly set.
