Slow cook mouthwatering southern BBQ beef for irresistible sandwiches.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 (4 pound) boneless beef chuck roast
  • 3 tablespoons barbeque seasoning (such as Grill Mates® Smokehouse Maple)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups barbeque sauce
  • 8 Kaiser rolls, split
Instructions:
  • Coat a 6-quart oval slow cooker crock with cooking spray for an easy release of your delicious meal.
  • Combine the beef broth and liquid smoke in a small bowl, then pour the mixture into the prepared crock.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the beef chuck roast, then rub barbeque seasoning all over. Place the roast gently into the liquid in the slow cooker and finish by drizzling Worcestershire sauce over the top.
  • Cook the roast on Low for 7 to 8 hours until the meat easily pulls apart. Transfer the roast to a cutting board and shred it into strands using two forks.
  • Separate and save 1/2 cup of the liquid from the slow cooker, then mix it with the barbeque sauce in a bowl.
  • Add the shredded beef back into the slow cooker and generously coat with the flavorful barbecue sauce mixture, ensuring every piece is fully coated. Mix well to combine all the delicious flavors.
  • Cook the beef on High heat until the liquid is bubbling, approximately 30 minutes. Serve the beef by spooning it onto split Kaiser rolls.
