Southern-style broccoli and cauliflower salad with creamy dressing, sweet raisins, crunchy almonds, and crispy bacon - ideal for potlucks.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 ounce) package bacon
  • 6 cups broccoli florets
  • 6 cups cauliflower florets
  • 2 cups slivered almonds
  • 1.5 cups golden raisins
  • 1 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, finely chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice
Instructions:
  • Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels, then chop into small pieces once cooled.
  • Combine crispy bacon with a vibrant mix of broccoli, cauliflower, crunchy almonds, sweet raisins, sharp Cheddar cheese, zesty red onion, and crisp celery in a generous bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice. Mix until creamy. Pour the mixture over the broccoli-cauliflower and stir well to combine. Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors develop.
