Juicy scotch fillet with flavorful Asian sauce creates a unforgettable dish.
Ingredients:
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) soy sauce
  • 18.20 gm peanut oil
  • 20.00 ml grated fresh ginger
  • 28.60 gm honey
  • 4 (about 220g each) beef scotch fillet steaks
  • 2 bunches baby pak choy, halved
  • Steamed white rice, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a shallow glass or ceramic dish, mix together the soy sauce, oil, ginger, and honey. Add the beef, making sure it is coated well. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 20 minutes to marinate.
  • Preheat a chargrill to medium-high heat. Drain the beef and pour the marinade into a small saucepan. Grill the beef for 4-5 minutes on each side for a medium doneness, then transfer to a plate and cover with foil. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • While the flavors meld and intensify, simmer the marinade over high heat until it thickens slightly, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Grill the pak choy for 2 minutes per side until tender and lightly charred.
  • Divide the rice among plates, then top with flavorful beef. Drizzle over the sauce and enjoy with pak choy.
