Elevate your snack game with our Superfood Spiced Nut Mix!
Ingredients:
  • 20.00 gm caster sugar
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon quill
  • 1 tsp Szechuan peppercorns (see note), crushed
  • 1000.00 ml (about 600g) mixed raw nuts
  • 36.40 gm peanut oil
  • 1/4 tsp sesame oil
Instructions:
  • Combine sugar, soy sauce, star anise, cinnamon, pepper, and 1 teaspoon of salt in a saucepan with 2 cups (500ml) of water. Bring to a boil, add the nuts, and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes. Drain and pat dry thoroughly with paper towels. Heat a mix of oils in a large pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the nuts for 2-3 minutes until crispy. Sprinkle with sea salt and serve the nuts alongside beer.
