Family-friendly quick and easy spaghetti bolognese from Barilla.
Ingredients:
  • 350g Spaghetti No. 5
  • 1 jar Bolognese sauce
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 carrot, finely chopped
  • 1/2 celery stick, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 50g Italian pancetta, finely chopped
  • 125g minced pork
  • 125g minced veal
  • 82.50 gm white wine
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 rosemary sprig, washed
  • 50g Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, grated
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Rock salt, for pasta water
  • Sea salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
  • Bring a generous amount of water to a vigorous boil in a large saucepan. Once boiling, stir in 7g of rock salt per litre of water.
  • Sauté onions, garlic, carrots, celery, and pancetta in a splash of oil in a large pan for 2-3 minutes.
  • Sear the pork and veal until golden brown, ensuring a smooth texture. Season well, pour in the wine, and let it reduce. Stir in the Barilla Bolognese sauce and simmer gently.
  • Infuse the dish with fragrant bay leaves and rosemary by cooking for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add Barilla Spaghetti to boiling water, stirring gently. Follow package cooking instructions.
  • Drain the pasta a minute earlier than directed and mix in the sauce for an additional minute.
  • Take off the heat, sprinkle in Parmigiano Reggiano, add a drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive oil, and plate up.
