Spicy and flavorful spaghetti alla puttanesca with garlic, capers, anchovies, and chili - a must-try dish!
Ingredients:
  • 400g spaghetti
  • 18.20 gm extra virgin olive oil, plus extra to drizzle
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 long red chilli, seeded, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 6 anchovies, chopped
  • 40.00 ml baby salted capers, rinsed and drained
  • 1 jar Barilla's Olive sauce
  • Grated Parmesan, to serve
  • Basil leaves, to garnish
Instructions:
  • Prepare the spaghetti in a generously salted large saucepan of boiling water until it reaches the desired al dente texture specified on the packet.
  • Heat oil in a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, about 5 minutes. Stir in chilli, garlic, anchovies, and capers; cook for an additional 2 minutes. Add olive sauce and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Transfer the pasta to the frying pan and warm it for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Garnish with a generous swirl of extra virgin olive oil and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
