Quick and effortless pasta dish!
Ingredients:
  • 1 medium brown onion, finely chopped
  • 80g sun-dried tomato
  • 2 x Mutti Polpa Finely Chopped Tomatoes 400g
  • 5.00 gm caster sugar
  • 125.00 ml finely chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 375g spaghetti
  • shaved parmesan, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, sauté garlic and onion in hot oil until onion is softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in sundried tomatoes and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Combine diced tomatoes and a sprinkle of sugar in a pot and bring to a boil. Lower the heat to medium and simmer for 10 minutes until the mixture thickens. Finish by stirring in fresh basil.
  • While the sauce simmers, cook the pasta in a pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and toss it in the sauce until well combined. Serve with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
