Transform Spanish rice into a robust one-pot meal by adding savory lean ground beef.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups water
  • 1.5 cups uncooked white rice
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
Instructions:
  • In a large pot over medium-high heat, brown and crumble the ground beef for 5 to 7 minutes. Add water, rice, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, bell pepper, onion, chili powder, and garlic salt. Bring to a boil over high heat for about 5 minutes.
  • Lower the heat, cover the pot, and allow it to simmer gently until the rice is tender, approximately 20 minutes.
