Spiced hot chocolate spoons

A creative twist on a timeless favorite, sure to be a crowd-pleaser for all ages.
Ingredients:
  • 60g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 60g milk chocolate, chopped
  • 0.63 gm ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 17.20 gm demerara sugar
  • 1 litre milk
  • 8 vanilla marshmallows
  • Cocoa powder, to serve
Instructions:
  • Combine dark and milk chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on MEDIUM (50%) for 1 minute, stirring halfway through, until smooth. Mix in cinnamon and allspice. Let it cool for 20 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture into a sealable plastic bag and cut off a corner. Place the spoons on a plate edge to keep them steady, then use the bag to pipe chocolate into the spoons. Let them sit for 10 minutes, sprinkle with sugar, and allow them to set for 30 minutes.
  • In a saucepan, gently heat the milk over medium heat until it just begins to simmer, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and pour into 1/2-cup-capacity serving cups. Place a spoon in each cup, stir until the chocolate has melted. Garnish with a marshmallow and a sprinkle of cocoa. Serve and enjoy!
