Indulge in a delicious barbecue lamb burger topped with crispy bacon and creamy blue cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 600g lamb mince
  • 125.00 ml fresh breadcrumbs
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1.25 gm ground cinnamon
  • 5.00 gm ground cumin
  • 20.00 ml ground coriander
  • 40.00 ml finely chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 9.20 gm extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 shortcut bacon rashers
  • 4 Burger Blue cheese slices
  • 4 bread rolls, split, toasted
  • 81.68 gm whole-egg mayonnaise
  • 50g baby rocket
  • 82.50 ml balsamic beetroot relish
  • 400g cooked sweet potato fries, to serve
Instructions:
  • Combine mince, breadcrumbs, garlic, cinnamon, cumin, ground coriander, mint, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix thoroughly and shape into 4 patties that are 2cm thick. Chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes on a large plate.
  • Preheat the barbecue hotplate to medium-high heat and add oil. Cook the bacon for 2 minutes on each side until golden. Transfer the bacon to a plate lined with paper towel and cover to keep warm. Place the patties on the hotplate and cook for 3 minutes. Flip the patties and top each one with a slice of cheese. Cook for an additional 3 minutes until just cooked through and the cheese starts to melt.
  • Spread the roll bases generously with creamy mayonnaise. Layer on fresh rocket leaves, juicy patties, crispy bacon, and tangy beetroot relish. Finally, crown your creation with the roll tops to make a mouthwatering sandwich. Enjoy alongside golden sweet potato fries.
