Seasonal fruit dessert perfect with cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pears - peeled, cored and cut into wedges
  • 1 pomegranate, skin and light-colored membrane removed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped almonds
  • 4 sprigs fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions:
  • Put the sliced pears and pomegranate seeds in a bowl. Drizzle with lemon juice and toss. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon, then add to the fruit. Refrigerate for 1 hour to enhance flavors. Serve in dishes, topping with chopped almonds and mint sprig.
