Spiced pumpkin dip

Whip up a flavorful pumpkin dip for your next gathering!
Ingredients:
  • 1kg Kent pumpkin
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 2.50 gm ground cumin
  • Bought pita chips, to serve
Instructions:
  • Prepare the pumpkin by peeling and removing the seeds, then cutting it into 2cm pieces. Place the pieces in a medium saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat and cook for about 5 minutes until the pumpkin is tender. Drain the pumpkin before using.
  • Clean the pan and heat the oil over medium heat. Cook the garlic and cumin until aromatic, about 1 minute. Add the pumpkin and mash it using a wooden spoon. Let it cool, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Move the dip to a stylish serving bowl, cover it, and let it chill in the fridge. Serve alongside crispy pita chips.
