Spice up baked chicken tenders with chili powder, paprika, and red pepper flakes for a healthier twist on classic nuggets.
Ingredients:
  • nonstick cooking spray
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs, or more as needed
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground chili powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut into strips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and give your baking sheet a quick mist of cooking spray.
  • In separate bowls, place flour, egg, and panko along with red pepper flakes, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, and chives. Mix the seasonings until well combined.
  • Coat chicken strips in flour, dip in egg, and then coat with panko mixture by shaking in a covered container. Place on baking sheet.
  • Roast in the preheated oven until fully cooked and juicy, for 10 to 12 minutes. Ensure it reaches an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) with an instant-read thermometer.
