Elevate your Thanksgiving with our zesty Tex-Mex Spicy Cranberry Salsa. Chiles, lime, and cilantro add a burst of fresh flavors to sweet cranberries. Your guests will be begging for more!
Ingredients:
  • 1 bag (12 oz) fresh or frozen cranberries (3 cups)
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can (4 oz) Old El Paso™ Chopped Green Chiles
  • 1 teaspoon grated lime peel
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • Fresh cilantro sprig, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, combine cranberries, brown sugar, water, green chiles, and lime peel. Bring to a boil, then simmer over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries start to burst and the mixture thickens slightly.
  • Take the saucepan off the heat and mix in the chopped cilantro. Let it cool completely so the salsa can thicken as it cools. Cover and store it in the refrigerator. Serve the salsa cold or at room temperature. Top with a sprig of cilantro before serving.
