Spicy Grilled Potato Planks

Elevate your potato game with these irresistible spud stars!
Ingredients:
  • 3 medium potatoes (1 1/2 pounds)
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1/8 teaspoon garam masala, if desired
  • 1 large garlic clove, finely chopped
Instructions:
  • In a 3-quart saucepan, simmer potatoes in salted water until nearly tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and let cool.
  • Preheat your grill for direct heat, whether using coals or gas.
  • Bring the rest of the ingredients to a boil then remove from heat. Cut each potato into 4 or 5 slices lengthwise and generously brush with the butter mixture.
  • Grill the potatoes covered over medium heat, turning and basting 2-3 times with butter mixture, until they are golden brown and tender, about 20 minutes.
