Elevate your weeknight dinner with a delicious and simple mince pasta bake.
Ingredients:
  • 18.20 gm olive oil
  • 1 brown onion, finely chopped
  • 500g extra-lean beef mince
  • 2 x Mutti Polpa Finely Chopped Tomatoes 400g
  • 250g dried macaroni pasta (see note)
  • 300g fresh ricotta cheese
  • 64.38 gm milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 62.50 ml grated tasty cheese
  • 62.50 ml grated parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C. Heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat, then add the onion and cook for 5 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Turn up the heat to medium-high and add the mince. Cook while breaking it up with a wooden spoon for 10 minutes until browned. Stir in the tomatoes and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes until the liquid reduces by a third. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • Cook the pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water according to the package instructions.
  • After draining the pasta, mix it with the mince. Transfer the mixture to an 8-cup ovenproof baking dish. In a bowl, combine ricotta, milk, and eggs. Spread this mixture over the mince. Sprinkle with tasty cheese and parmesan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden. Serve and enjoy!
