Slow cooked black bean soup with chicken broth, jalapeños, cumin, chili powder, and hot sauce for a spicy kick.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound dry black beans, soaked overnight
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 4 teaspoons diced jalapeno peppers
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
Instructions:
  • After draining the black beans, give them a refreshing rinse before transferring them to the slow cooker. Next, pour in the chicken broth and add in the jalapeño peppers. Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, cayenne, black pepper, garlic powder, and a dash of hot pepper sauce to season the mixture perfectly.
  • Cook on High for 4 hours, then switch to Low and simmer for an additional 2 hours.
