Beginner-friendly homemade spicy tuna sushi rolls: simple and flavorful!
Ingredients:
  • 4 sheets nori (dry seaweed)
  • 0.5 pound sashimi-grade tuna, finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon hot chile sauce
  • 2.5 cups prepared sushi rice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions:
  • Trim the bottom quarter of each nori sheet and set aside for later.
  • Mix together the chopped tuna, creamy mayonnaise, fresh green onions, and spicy hot sauce in a bowl.
  • Lay nori on bamboo sushi mat. Moisten hands. Spread rice thinly on nori, leaving a 1/2-inch space at the bottom. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place 1/4 of the tuna mixture in a line 1/3 down from the top.
  • Moisten the exposed edge of the nori. Use the top end of the mat to tightly roll over the fillings, creating a seamless roll. Repeat the rolling process with the remaining ingredients.
  • Cut the rolls into 3/4-inch slices with a damp knife. Enjoy right away or chill until ready to serve.
