Cheesy Italian sausage and tomato bake on a bed of spinach.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium high heat, cook the sausage until browned. Remove excess fat from the skillet, then mix in the tomato sauce. Set aside the flavorful mixture.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Combine fresh spinach, creamy cottage cheese, tangy Parmesan cheese, and a luscious egg in a spacious bowl. Mix until fully incorporated, then spread the delectable mixture evenly in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Spoon over the savory sausage mixture and generously sprinkle with gooey mozzarella cheese.
  • Place in a hot oven for 40 minutes.
