Spinach yoghurt dip pairs perfectly with pide or flatbread for a tasty snack.
Ingredients:
  • 18.20 gm olive oil
  • 1 brown onion, halved, finely chopped
  • 300g baby spinach leaves
  • 2.50 gm ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 260g (1 cup) Greek-style natural yoghurt
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • Turkish pide, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over medium-low heat, gently sauté the onion in heated oil for 8 minutes until soft. Add spinach and cook for 1 minute until wilted, stirring constantly.
  • Stir in the cinnamon and allspice, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove from the heat and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  • Mix the creamy spinach with the tangy yogurt in a bowl. Season generously with salt and pepper, then transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy with pide.
