Ingredients:
  • 1.25kg diced casserole beef
  • 82.50 ml plain flour
  • 500.00 ml Guinness beer
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 sticks celery, chopped
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 40.00 ml chopped fresh parsley
  • 4 sheets ready-rolled frozen puff pastry
Instructions:
  • Coat 1.25kg diced casserole beef with 1/3 cup plain flour. Brown the beef in batches in 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large saucepan for 2-3 minutes.
  • Combine 2 cups of Guinness, beef, 2 chopped carrots, 2 chopped celery sticks, and 2 chopped onions in a pot. Let it cook for 1 1/2-2 hours. Once done, allow it to cool before gently folding in 2 tablespoons of fresh chopped parsley.
  • 1. Preheat your oven to 220°C. 2. Grease 4 pie dishes and evenly distribute the filling. 3. Top each dish with 1 sheet of ready-rolled frozen puff pastry, sealing the edges and making a small slit on top. 4. Brush the pastry with 1 beaten egg. 5. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
