Tender grilled steak marinated in zesty lime, garlic, and cilantro, perfect for loading up your tacos.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 3 limes, juiced
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 teaspoons dark brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1.5 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 pound skirt steak, fat removed and flattened to 1/8-inch thickness
  • 4 corn tortillas
Instructions:
  • Mix together onion, fresh cilantro, zesty lime juice, savory soy sauce, fruity olive oil, rich brown sugar, aromatic oregano, spicy red pepper flakes, and pungent garlic in a large bowl.
  • In a baking pan, lay the steak and generously douse it with marinade. Chill, covered, for a minimum of 1 to 4 hours.
  • Prepare your outdoor grill by preheating it to high heat and lightly oiling the grate.
  • Cook the steak on the grill for 2 to 4 minutes per side until it reaches your preferred level of doneness. Let the meat rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain into 1/4-inch slices.
  • Layer tortillas with savory meat and a variety of flavorful toppings.
