Succulent steamed cabbage paired with crispy bacon, a versatile and budget-friendly side dish for any meal.
Ingredients:
  • 175g rindless bacon, cut into thin strips
  • 1.5kg cabbage, finely shredded
  • 40g butter, chopped
  • 24.40 gm Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
  • Fry bacon in a pan over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until crispy for about 4 minutes. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Pour 2 cups of water into a large saucepan and bring it to a boil. Add the cabbage and cook, covered, over medium-high heat for 5 minutes until tender. Drain the cabbage well and return it to the saucepan. Mix in butter, Worcestershire sauce, and bacon until everything is well combined. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
