Steamed green beans with chicken broth, topped with crispy turkey bacon and a creamy dill hollandaise sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 5 slices turkey bacon
  • 0.25 cup Swanson® Unsalted Chicken Stock
  • 0.25 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1.5 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 0.25 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 cups Swanson® Chicken Broth
  • 2 pounds fresh whole green beans, trimmed
  • 0.5 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium to medium-high heat until crispy, turning occasionally, for about 6 minutes. Let it cool slightly before chopping it into small pieces.
  • Combine Swanson® Chicken Stock, cream, lemon juice, minced garlic, and dill in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on HIGH in the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
  • Fill the bottom of a double boiler with water, ensuring it doesn't touch the top pan. Bring the water to a boil. In the top pan, gently whisk the egg yolks. Cook and stir until thickened and yolks double in volume, about 3 to 5 minutes. Lower the heat to low.
  • Whisk in stock/cream mixture until fully combined, ensuring a smooth texture. Mix vigorously for 1 minute. Season with 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Cover to keep sauce warm after removing from heat.
  • Place a steamer basket insert in a large saucepan. Fill with Swanson® Chicken Broth just below the steamer basket. Bring to a boil. Add green beans, sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, steam for about 5 minutes until crisp-tender. Remove or save any remaining broth.
  • Transfer the beans to a serving dish, sprinkle with crispy bacon crumbles, drizzle with hollandaise sauce, and serve.
