Buttery white wine steamed mussels.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.25 cup shallots, minced
  • 0.75 cup dry white wine
  • 3 pounds mussels, cleaned and debearded
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
  • Heat butter in a medium stock pot over medium heat, then saute shallots until translucent.
  • Add wine and mussels to the pot. Increase the heat to medium-high and steam until the mussels' shells open, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the mussels and their flavorful cooking liquid to a serving bowl. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and a generous amount of freshly ground black pepper according to your preference. Serve promptly to enjoy at its best.
