Prepare these delicious sticky Chinese chicken legs for a convenient and delectable snack or make ahead for a quick frozen treat.
Ingredients:
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) salt-reduced soy sauce
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) honey
  • 40.00 ml Chinese rice wine or dry sherry
  • 2 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 12 chicken legs
  • 12.00 gm sesame seeds
Instructions:
  • In a glass or ceramic dish, mix together the soy sauce, honey, rice wine, ginger, and garlic. Add the chicken, making sure to coat it well. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours to let it marinate.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a large baking tray with non-stick baking paper. Drain the chicken, saving the marinade, and place the chicken on the prepared tray.
  • While baking in the oven for 30 minutes, make sure to baste the chicken occasionally with the reserved marinade. Then, sprinkle with sesame seeds and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes until the chicken is golden and the juices run clear when pierced with a skewer.
