Indulge in mouthwatering Texan-style BBQ beef short ribs for a truly satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 x 1.2kg pkts Beef Slow Cook Short Ribs
  • 2.50 gm smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoob sea salt flakes
  • 1 tsp mustard powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 125ml tomato sauce
  • 55g brown sugar
  • 40.00 ml apple cider vinegar
  • 24.40 gm Worcestershire sauce
  • 23.40 gm American mustard
  • 2.50 gm ground paprika
Instructions:
  • Heat up your barbecue on low with the lid on. Alternatively, preheat your oven to 150C. Place the ribs in a shallow roasting pan.
  • Mix the cumin, paprika, salt, mustard powder (if using), fennel, and pepper in a bowl, then season both sides of the ribs with the mixture.
  • Cover the pan tightly with foil and roast in a covered barbecue using indirect heat or in the oven for 3 hours, or until the ribs are extremely tender.
  • Combine tomato sauce, sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and paprika in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook for 5 minutes until the sauce boils and thickens slightly.
  • Uncover the ribs and generously brush them with the flavorful barbecue sauce. Roast for 30 minutes, remembering to brush with extra sauce occasionally, until the ribs are irresistibly sticky and tender, practically falling off the bone.
