Quick and easy Asian-inspired side dish: Stir-fried bok choy with cashews, Chinese five-spice, and garlic.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large head bok choy
  • 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 0.33333334326744 cup cashews
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder, or more to taste
  • 1 pinch white sugar
Instructions:
  • Trim the root end of the bok choy. Cut the stalks diagonally into thin pieces and tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, warm oil and butter until sizzling. Add onion, cashews, garlic, bok choy, Chinese five-spice, and sugar. Sauté the mixture until the bok choy is tender, about 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
