Quick, tasty, and nutritious stir-fry recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 fresh red chilli
  • 3 spring onions
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 handful of mangetout
  • a few shiitake mushrooms
  • a few water chestnuts
  • 1 handful of shredded green cabbage
  • olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • sesame oil
  • sesame seeds to sprinkle on top
Instructions:
  • Crush the garlic and thinly slice the chili and spring onion. Peel and finely slice the red onion. Combine the garlic, chili, spring onion, and red onion in a bowl. Shred the mangetout, slice the mushrooms and water chestnuts, and mix with the shredded cabbage in another bowl. Heat your wok until very hot, add a splash of oil until it smokes, then add the chili and onion mix. Stir for 2 seconds and add the other vegetable mix. Stir and toss the vegetables in the wok. Season with salt and pepper. After a minute or two, add soy sauce and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Stir and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle sesame seeds, and enjoy!
