Ingredients:
  • 500g (2 punnets) strawberries, washed, hulled, halved
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) Grand Marnier liqueur
  • 30.00 gm caster sugar
  • 20.00 ml finely shredded fresh mint leaves
  • 25g (1/4 cup) flaked almonds
  • Double cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix together the strawberries, Grand Marnier liqueur, sugar, and mint. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes to macerate.
  • Toast the almonds in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, for about 2 minutes until they are fragrant and lightly browned. Let them cool for 5 minutes before using.
  • Divide the luscious strawberries into individual serving bowls, then generously dollop each with cream and sprinkle with almonds for a delightful finish.
