Wholesome Strawberry Almond Oat Smoothies - a quick, filling breakfast with a hint of almond sweetness, ready in minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup uncooked old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (regular or Greek, any fat percentage)
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of your choice)
  • 1/2 medium banana, fresh or frozen, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey, optional
Instructions:
  • In a blender, blend together oats, strawberries, yogurt, almond milk, banana, and almond extract until smooth.
  • Blend the smoothie on low speed, then switch to high until smooth. Serve immediately.
