Basil-infused strawberry beer bread: a versatile and delectable treat for any meal or snack.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle fruity beer
  • 1.5 cups chopped strawberries
  • 0.5 cup loosely packed chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Begin by warming up your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Next, generously coat a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and white sugar. Pour in beer and mix. Add strawberries and basil; stir until well combined (batter will be stiff and sticky). Transfer batter to the prepared loaf pan and generously sprinkle the top with coarse sugar.
  • Bake in the oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 50-60 minutes.
