Strawberry champagne cocktail

Elevate the classic kir royale with fresh strawberries and a touch of liqueur for a summery twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 x 250g punnet fresh strawberries, washed, hulled, coarsely chopped
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) creme de cassis
  • 1 x 750ml btl champagne
  • 6 fresh strawberries, extra, washed
Instructions:
  • Blend the strawberries and cassis in a blender until smooth.
  • Slowly pour the champagne into the blender jug and let it sit for 2-3 minutes until the bubbles settle. Gently stir until fully mixed. Avoid blending.
  • Divide the strawberry mixture among champagne flutes, then skewer the strawberries and place one in each glass. Serve promptly.
