Delicious strawberry-glazed cinnamon rolls, perfect for brunch or a romantic Valentine's Day treat.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup warm water (105 degrees F (41 degrees C))
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 2.5 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 stick butter, at room temperature
  • 0.66666668653488 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1.5 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 0.25 cup pureed fresh strawberries
  • 1 pinch salt
Instructions:
  • In the stand mixer bowl, mix together water, sugar, and yeast until foamy, approximately 10 minutes.
  • Begin by slowly incorporating the flour into the yeast mixture. Melt butter in a small microwave-safe bowl and pour it into the flour mixture. Add the egg and salt. Combine everything until a soft, sticky dough comes together. Place the dough on a counter, cover it with plastic wrap, and allow it to rest until it doubles in size, which should take about 1 hour.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a 9x16-inch rectangle. Spread butter evenly over the dough. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle the mixture over the buttered dough. Roll the dough tightly and cut it into 12 pieces.
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Arrange the rolls in the baking dish and cover them delicately with foil. Let the rolls rise in a cozy spot for around 25 minutes.
  • Bake uncovered rolls in the preheated oven until the centers turn a light golden brown, for about 15 to 18 minutes.
  • As rolls cool, make the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, strawberry puree, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Spread it over the rolls.
