Indulgent champagne, white chocolate, and strawberry cake - a showstopping dessert for any special occasion.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Delights Super Moist™ Strawberry Cake Mix
  • 1 cup champagne or pink sparkling wine (room temperature)
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 bag (12 oz) white vanilla baking chips, melted, slightly cooled
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and generously coat the bottom and sides of 2 (8-inch) heart-shaped or round cake pans with cooking spray.
  • Combine cake mix, champagne, oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping the bowl occasionally. Divide the batter evenly between the pans.
  • Bake for 26 to 31 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer the cakes to cooling racks. Allow them to cool completely for about an hour.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the butter until smooth. Add the melted and slightly cooled white vanilla baking chips and mix until smooth. Then add the powdered sugar and vanilla, and mix until well combined.
  • To create an even cake layer, trim the rounded top off one cake. Set the cake cut-side down on a plate and spread frosting on the top. Place the second cake round-side up on top. Frost the sides and top of the cake. Store the cake loosely covered at room temperature.
