Quick and scrumptious cake-mix caramel cookies drizzled with caramel, a treat for caramel enthusiasts.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1/3 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 20 Lancaster™ caramel soft crèmes, unwrapped (from 8-oz package)
  • 1/2 cup coarse white sparkling sugar
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare cookie sheets by lining them with cooking parchment paper.
  • Combine cake mix and flour in a large bowl. In a separate small bowl, mix melted butter, 1/4 cup caramel sauce, egg, water, and vanilla until smooth. Combine the butter mixture with the cake mix-flour mixture, stirring until fully mixed. Refrigerate the batter for 30 minutes before using.
  • Form 20 (2-inch) dough balls and press 1 caramel into the center of each, ensuring the dough surrounds the caramel. Roll in sugar and space 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 10 to 14 minutes until the edges turn a light golden brown. Let them cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Allow the cookies to cool completely for about 20 minutes.
  • Generously coat cookies with 2 tablespoons of luscious caramel sauce. Allow cookies to rest for approximately 2 hours until the caramel is perfectly set.
