Delicious Swedish pecan nuts - perfect holiday gift for nut enthusiasts!
Ingredients:
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pound pecan halves
  • 0.5 cup butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect bake.
  • Whisk egg whites until soft peaks form. Add sugar, salt, and vanilla; continue to whisk until stiff peaks form and become glossy. Gently fold in nuts until well coated in the fluffy egg white mixture.
  • Place the baking pan in the oven to melt the butter. Once melted, evenly spread the coated nuts over the butter in the pan.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, stirring and turning nuts every 8 minutes until no butter remains in the pan. Transfer hot nuts to foil to cool. Store in an airtight container for several weeks.
