Decadent pantry chocolate cake baked in a pie plate, perfect hot or cold.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1.3333333730698 cups white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 300 degrees F (150 degrees C), and give an 8-inch pie plate a quick little grease.
  • Combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then set aside. Mix eggs with sugar until smooth. Gently fold in the flour mixture until just combined. Stir in vanilla extract and butter until well mixed. Transfer the batter into the prepared pie plate.
  • Bake on the lower oven rack at the set temperature for 35 minutes or until the center is slightly set. Let the cake cool in the pie plate for 1 hour. Serve warm or refrigerate overnight for a cold treat.
