Tangy sweet red cabbage with brown sugar, butter, vinegar, and caraway seeds pairs perfectly with roast pork.
Ingredients:
  • 1 medium head red cabbage, shredded
  • 1 quart water
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
  • 0.5 cup vinegar
  • 0.25 cup butter
Instructions:
  • In a medium saucepan, combine cabbage, water, and salt. Bring to a boil, then stir in brown sugar and caraway seeds. Cook until cabbage is tender, for about 12 minutes. Drain.
  • Coat cabbage with vinegar and butter in a medium bowl until well mixed.
