Flavorful Korean beef bowl with noodles ready in just 35 minutes - a guaranteed dinnertime favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 45.00 gm brown sugar
  • 2cm piece fresh ginger, peeled, finely grated
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 65.63 gm soy sauce
  • 18.20 gm peanut oil
  • 600g lean beef mince
  • 200g green beans, trimmed, thinly sliced
  • 200g packet dried egg noodles
  • 1 tsp dried chilli akes
  • 12.00 gm sesame seeds, toasted
  • 62.50 ml fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 long red chilli, thinly sliced
  • 40.00 ml Sriracha chilli sauce
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 82.50 ml rice wine vinegar
  • 20.00 ml sesame oil
  • 21.00 gm soy sauce
  • 1/4 Chinese cabbage (wombok), roughly chopped
  • 2 Lebanese cucumbers, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • For a delicious Quick kimchi, mix together fresh chilli, chilli sauce, sesame seeds, onion, vinegar, sesame oil, and soy sauce in a large bowl. Season with pepper, then add cabbage and cucumber. Toss everything together and let sit for 15 minutes to enhance the flavors. Enjoy!
  • In a small jug, mix together sugar, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons of water.
  • Preheat a wok over high heat, then add peanut oil and swirl to coat. Cook the mince, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, for 6 to 8 minutes until well browned. Add the soy mixture and green beans, stir-fry for 3 minutes until beans are tender and sauce thickens. Finish by stirring in the lime juice.
  • Prepare noodles according to the instructions on the packet. Once cooked, drain and rinse under cold running water. Make sure to drain well before proceeding.
  • In a small bowl, mix together dried chili flakes and sesame seeds. Divide the mince mixture, noodles, and kimchi among serving bowls. Top with fresh coriander and sprinkle with the sesame seed mixture. Serve and enjoy.
