Tangy sauce and molasses make the perfect match for tender pork spareribs.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup bacon drippings
  • 3 pounds pork spareribs
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 cup prepared mustard
  • 0.25 cup light molasses
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large, heavy skillet over medium heat, heat the savory bacon drippings. Add spareribs to the skillet and sear on each side for approximately 5 minutes until golden. Season generously with garlic salt and pepper for extra flavor.
  • Combine mustard, molasses, soy sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and hot pepper sauce in a medium bowl.
  • Transfer the beautifully browned ribs to a spacious baking dish and generously coat them with the delectable mustard sauce mixture.
  • Roast in the oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, brushing with the sauce mixture from time to time, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
