Apple scones ready in 30 minutes featuring crisp Granny Smith apple.
Ingredients:
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 medium Granny Smith apple - peeled, cored, and diced
  • 0.25 cup sour cream
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Combine the all-purpose flour, wheat flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and cloves in a bowl.
  • In a bowl, beat together butter, eggs, cream cheese, and lemon juice until smooth. Stir in milk until fully incorporated. Combine the egg mixture with the dry ingredients, then fold in the apple. Gently mix in the sour cream until fully blended.
  • Form the scone dough into desired shapes and arrange them on baking sheets without greasing.
  • Bake until golden brown in the preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes.
