Try these irresistible Sweet Potato Banana Bird Bread Bites! A delicious blend of sweet potato, banana, raisins, and oats rolled into convenient snack balls. Make a big batch and store in the freezer for easy rewards for your feathered friend!
Ingredients:
  • 1 large sweet potato
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
  • 1 banana
  • 0.5 cup raisins
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1.5 cups quick-cooking oatmeal, corn flakes, granola, or similar cereal
Instructions:
  • Poke sweet potato skin all over with a paring knife or skewer. Microwave on high until tender, 5 to 9 minutes, flipping halfway through. Let cool before handling.
  • Peel a potato and place the flesh in a large mixing bowl. Combine with mixed vegetables, banana, raisins, apples, and oatmeal. Use an electric mixer on high until vegetables are finely chopped and mixture is well-blended. If too dry, add water until mixture is soft enough to form balls.
  • Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment or waxed paper.
  • Roll mixture into marble-sized balls and place on the prepared baking sheet. Enjoy a couple yourself, then transfer the baking sheet to the freezer until fully frozen.
  • Transfer the treats from the parchment paper to a resealable plastic bag for storage. Remember to thaw the treats before enjoying.
