Quick and delicious tamale cups featuring savory shredded beef, zesty taco seasoning, and sauce baked in muffin cups for a perfect portion every time. Ready in just 35 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups instant masa harina flour
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 3 cups leftover shredded cooked beef
  • 2 tablespoons from 1 container (6.25 oz) Old El Paso™ Original Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 2 tablespoons from 1 bottle (9 oz) Old El Paso™ Mild Taco Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons crumbled queso fresco cheese
  • 1 tablespoon coarsely chopped fresh cilantro leaves
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously spray a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray.
  • Mix together the flour and water in a medium bowl until a smooth dough forms. Divide the dough into 12 pieces, shaping each into a ball. Press each ball into a muffin cup, forming the dough along the bottom and sides of the cup.
  • Combine the cooked beef with taco seasoning mix and taco sauce in a separate bowl. Spoon the beef mixture evenly into the dough-lined cups.
  • Bake until crust cups are golden brown and fully baked, approximately 15-20 minutes.
  • Garnish each tamale cup with cheese and cilantro before serving.
